New homes
& Renos
Step 1. Feasibility
Hands up if you have no idea what your budget should be. Guessing you have a rough idea of what you’d like to spend but realistically know, it’s probably going to cost more. After all, you paid way too much for your home/block right!? Don’t stress. We got you.
Before commencing our whole design service, we start with a feaso. We listen to your brief, collect all the site info required, look over your beautiful inspo images, measure up the house – then it’s time to get real. Our aim is for brief & budget alignment and won’t move forward until this is totally landed. Over the last 12 years we have developed a fabulous method for this. Get in touch to learn more.
Step 2. Design
OK, so the brief & budget are set. Time to design the hell out of it. We love a good tempo so we meet monthly and each time dive deeper to refine the project until it’s looking fabulous and has all the practical elements sorted (plenty of storage, let’s be real). We have a very clear process for moving through designing the outside to designing the interiors & selecting materials. Our beautiful renders actually look like the finished thing!
We’re going to be honest, we do incredible Town Planning applications. SO if your property needs one of those, you’re in the right place. We provide planners with absolutely everything they could ever need and get swift results. We are insanely collaborative with Councils and have a reputation for being not trying to hide or trick planners so they know they can trust our drawings.
Step 3. Documentation
Buildability is key. Our colourful, playful & highly detailed work needs great builders and trades people to bring it to life so we try to make their lives as easy as possible by drawing as many moments as possible. We include renders in our documentation sets so we can quickly communicate our intentions. Our whole aim is to be understood quickly and easily. Our doco drawing sets are often referred to as some of the best by builders, we’re proud of this! We also wine match clients, project materials, location and builders. It’s important to get this right as building takes on average around 9mths.
Step 4. Let’s get it Built!
Once all the permits & contracts are signed, the builder gets to work, and we go into project management mode where we’re on the phone almost every day nutting things out or workshopping even better (and or cheaper) solutions. This process is called ‘Contract Administration’ and our approach is collaborative, emotionally intelligent and fully transparent to maintain quality and respectful relationships with all involved. We love it because we’re bringing our fabulous project to life, pushing to get your family in as quickly as possible, and excited to get the beautiful photographs at the end.
